An idea bears fruit A true family story In 1995, the Schwörer family made a courageous and far-sighted decision by choosing to switch from agriculture to recreational tourism. Subsequently, a new and ultra-modern campsite was created with 200 pitches. While camping in itself was nothing new, even then the plan was to supplement the new campsite with a wellness oasis and other offers. These plans and considerations were consistently implemented over the next few years. Natural and ecological aspects played a considerable role in the sustainable development of the holiday paradise from the very start. Even today, this philosophy runs through the entire history of Schwarzwälder Hof as a kind of leitmotif. “Taking a break” is not exactly among the Schwörer family’s strengths. The holiday paradise has been continuously enhanced with many small-scale highlights that fit in with the overall concept just as well as the larger construction projects. The company’s founder Robert Schwörer is able to rely on the support of all family members in all areas of the business. Particularly his wife, Elisabeth, and his children, Bernd, Tina, Stefanie and Christine, who all now work in leading positions within the company. So it’s no wonder that the future of the business is already secure. The Schwarzwälder Hof holiday paradise is now under new leadership in the shape of daughter Christine and her husband, Marco Schäfer.

The tree houses have around 65 m2 of living space and all have two bedrooms, each with a small small step-out balcony, a bathroom with a large shower, a living-dining area and a small kitchen with a stove, sink, dishwasher and fridge. They also have a TV and Wi-Fi. Each of the houses is suitable for occupancy by two to six people. The elegant interior and the top-class fittings within the houses, which are of a high quality right down to the last detail, leave no wishes unfulfilled. So anyone who has always dreamed of spending the night in a tree house can now make this dream come true. The guest house features a total of five modern and very spacious double rooms, as well as four family rooms, each of which is fitted out with a double bed and a second level with another double bed. One double room without a balcony is fully accessible with a separate bathroom. Three comfortably furnished family rooms and eight double rooms are available in our hotel in the main building. The impressive building at the heart of the site boasts the title of largest log cabin in Germany with over 500 m2 of floor area. Constructed from native silver firs felled during a new moon, the logs, which are up to 50 cm thick, were then processed using age-old carpentry techniques. All of the rooms were fitted out using the best natural materials from the region, with careful attention paid to the very smallest of details.
